Congratulations on your New Born
Phoenix Ceremonies offers you, your family and friends a celebration to give thanks for safe birth, or you may prefer a naming ceremony. You will want to celebrate the birth of a new member of the family or stepfamily and to “wet the baby’s head” in the traditional manner. Our celebrant will assist you in step family baby naming and blessing your new-born child. We are experienced in how to involve the whole family, join step families together. How to proceed where you are the step dad or step mum, where the new born has step brothers and sisters.
Parents are choosing unique venues for their celebrations and naming parties. You may feel the intimacy of your own home or own garden is appropriate, or want to push the boat out by decorating your garden to host the event. Others choose hotels, golf clubs, football stadium, even beaches for the naming day.
Celebrate new birth and start in life
In a bespoke ceremony ( go to Resources ) that reflects your personal and family beliefs, hopes and aspirations, however spiritual, whether religious or not.
For all time people have held ceremonies of celebration, christening and initiation for the gift of a child. This is a time to gather, to be glad and to pledge to bring your child up in the ways you value and want honoured. You may wish to choose sponsors or “godparents” to be special guardians to your child in years to come.
We often feel attracted to the traditions of wearing splendid clothes, processing, pledging ourselves to care for our children, exchanging gifts and relating friends and families by our promises but have no wish of the church setting or the limitations of a registry office.
