Phoenix independent funeral celebrant, chaplain, service taker, ordained, will design your order of service for religious or non-religious services, also civil funerals at City of London Crematorium ( C of L ), South Essex Crematorium ( SEC ), Pitsea ( Basildon ) Crematorium, Romford, Ripple Rd, Eastbrook End Cemetery, Corbets Tey, Enfield Crematorium. I am happy to take Humanist, alternative, green funeral services. At the time of booking your funeral you may wish to ask the funeral director to contact me to ascertain my availability.

Outline Order of Service ( suggestions only, all optional )
Music playing at Entry ( organ, or CD/Tape )
Opening Remarks ( to introduce the occasion )
Introductory Sentences
All Sing or Say a Verse ( to help us to gather, e.g. Joyce Grenfell’s Poem or Psalm 23 )
A Reading or Readings ( expressing the beliefs of those assembled regarding life, death and mourning )
The Tribute or Appreciation for the Life of the Departed (by the minister or family )
Music or Quiet - Time for Reflection
Prayer or Words of Comfort ( e.g. “To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me” ), concluding with a verse said all together ( some request The Lords Prayer )
All Sing or Say a Verse ( to strengthen us for the moment of parting, e.g. The Best or The Garden at Dusk )
Words of Commendation ( sometimes written / spoken by close family )
Presentation of roses, lighting of candles by young people to involve the wider family
Words of Committal ( perhaps music played as curtains close )
Closing Words or Blessing
Close - Music played ( giving time for everyone to compose themselves before leaving )
